We
entered six teams in a May 10th 3 on 3 tournament. Two of the six teams
were made of my core group girls. The other teams where made of my
summer teams and the boys are members of my co-ed Saturday clinic.
I had a 5th grade boys team, a 5th grade girls team, a 6th grade girls team, a 7th grade boys team, a 7th grade girls team and an 8th grade girls team.
The 6th grade girls (Selina - a 3rd grader, Jazlynn - 6th grader and Sofia B. - a 5th grader, pictured below) - went undefeated and won the 5th/6th grade championship.
The 7th grade girls (Gianna, Hannah, Celine and Vienna) finished 3 in the 7th/8th division losing in the semifinals to the 8th grade boys team who won the division.
Two other Destroyers teams finished in the top three. The 5th grade boys boys team including Celine's brother Adam was second the 5th/6th grade division and our 5th grade girls team was 3rd.
It was a good day. I think the attending parents had as much fun as the kids.
