Game 6: Jan 19, 2014, Framingham - 36 Winchester - 19

Winchester scored 4 more than their average against us today. My weekly goal is to hold teams to under their scoring average.

Double D, which we played in the first 1/2, was about a B. Double D is a hybrid man to man / zone, basically a match up zone, where we play the ball and not a spot on the floor.

Our second half defense was awful. Second half we played HAVOC - soccer style man to man.  In the 3rd quarter we gave up 9 points after holding them to 8 first half points.

We also failed to trap even one time at the half court line.

Individual defense grades are only on how well we played havoc in the first half.

The girls were annoyed that we did not press hard until we were 20 points up. We talked about how it is important to me as a coach not to humiliate teams. Our offense did not struggle as much as I thought having inexperienced people bringing the ball up. Even with 33 turnovers, the girls had a respectable game.
